Our story...

Three generations of the Sanderson family have lived on and worked the land at Milrig Holdings, Kirknewton

Bob & Edith Sanderson.

Bob & Edith Sanderson.

Throughout the 50's, 60's and 70's, pigs, poultry and cattle ‎farming was the mainstay income at Milrig, however, Bob and Edith Sanderson diversified in 1976, creating a boarding kennel for dogs, a cattery and a retail outlet.

A new chapter opened for the family in Summer 2015, with significant capital expenditure in the refurbishment of facilities and the building of a brand new kennel block; comprising 12 new spacious heated kennels with internal and external compartments that compliment the existing 20 kennels and cattery.

Our opening hours are:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 18:00

Saturday and Sunday: 08:00 - 12pm and 16:00 - 17:00

At Station View we do our very best to make sure your dog or cat feels right at home, even when they aren’t at home.

We have a safe boarding environment for your dog or cat to enjoy while you are away and our residents individually exercised in a secure area.

The kennels are all internal, heated with separate external covered daytime runs. We provide beds and bedding for your dog, but of course it is nice to have a smell of home, so you may bring your own. Toys are always welcome as they come in handy for playtime.

We provide the highest level of service and care for your pet in your absence.

Our purpose built cattery is entirely separate from the boarding kennels and we can accommodate all breeds of cats - outdoor or house.

Depending upon your pet’s normal routine, we feed often as required a day and we will follow your specific feeding instructions. There is a wide variety of foods available however, we are more than happy to feed what you bring in.

Special diets and medication can be catered for, please tell us on booking form.

Our staff is on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide the hands-on, personalised attention that your pet requires and to ensure a safe and secure boarding environment.
